Developed and executed proactive, multi-faceted public relations program for a national pharmacy
     benefits management (PBM) organization in support of the company's business goals and objectives.

  • Program was instrumental in successfully transforming the company from an unknown PBM to a leading PBM brand recognized for its key differentiators.
  • Activities contributed to a 25% increase in annual revenue growth and acquisition of 68 new clients, as well as a $30M upsell within the existing client base.


► Positively influenced opinions of key leaders in industry and government, as well as the public at large, through proactive marketing
     and public relations program for a California-based industry association representing 75+ medical groups.

  • Arranged and facilitated media meet and greets and editorial board conferences to introduce key media to the association and to its position on issues related to health care in California.
  • Developed and executed educational campaign targeted to members of the California State Assembly and Senate to advance their understanding of the managed care model of health care delivery.
  • Educated association members about the effective use of PR by presenting seminars at the association's annual conference, and coached members in effective techniques on an on-going basis.
  • Designed and produced a PR toolkit used as a resource for member organizations to integrate the association's messages into each organization's individual marketing and public relations activities.


► Supported a major Southern California health system in the execution of a continuing medical education (CME) symposium by managing
     the exhibition portion of the event.

  • Developed exhibitor contract and all exhibitor communications.
  • Solicited exhibitors for participation in the symposium.
  • Administered exhibitor contract execution and payment process.
  • Managed exhibitor logistics on site.
  • Generated $54,500 in exhibitor revenues that were used to offset symposium costs of $57,000.


► Guided strategy and tactics to integrate internet marketing into the marketing mix of a 25 year-old Boston-based consulting organization.

  • Updated company logo, established unique selling proposition, key messages, and brand look and feel.
  • Revamped electronic newsletter.
  • Established blog and presence on other social media sites including facebook, twitter, and YouTube.
  • Implemented automated process for posts and updates.
  • Guided website redesign to maximize online opportunities for new client acquisition, conversion and retention through the use of SEO and other strategies.
  • Planned and managed content across all internet-based platforms to ensure quality and consistency of key messages, brand, and image.


► Supported the launch of new Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan (MA-SNP) for a large Northern California health plan, as well as

     growth within the organization's other Medicare, Medi-Cal and group health offerings, through the design and implementation

     of a proactive public relations program.

  • Activities contributed to achievement of major membership milestones, including the enrollment of the plan's 100,000th member and membership increases in excess of 13% annually.


► Designed and conducted 120 trade show performance / ROI measurement engagements for 32 pharmaceutical and medical device clients
     at 107 trade shows nation and worldwide.

  • Research provided valuable metrics and insights, and actionable recommendations, to maximize results clients achieve through their trade show marketing activities.
  • Aggregated data and used cumulative findings to develop and publish a white paper showcasing trends and best practices in the industry.


► Supported a major rebranding initiative for a community-based health care services organization serving 100,000 members in the

    Coachella Valley.

  • Crafted and executed integrated public relations plan in support of the brand launch.
  • Activities successfully introduced the organization and its new identity to the community, and positively positioned the new entity as a known, trusted, high-quality health care services provider.



► Supported  a large California-based employee benefits insurance provider through proactive marketing and public relations activities
     designed to positively influence opinions of key leaders in the industry, as well as clients and prospects, on the concept of value-based
     benefits.

  • Activities generated interest in and attendance at company-sponsored breakfast meetings where local employers came together with company representatives to learn about a creative, wellness-based approached to employee health and pharmacy benefits.
  • Major outcome of the campaign was a cover story in a major industry publication showcasing the company and its unique approach, along with a front-cover photo featuring the company's CEO.
